We wanted to expand some of our props and I called the area wholesale plumbing supply to see if they ever get damaged PVC pipe and if we could have some.  They told me to come on and help my self.  We got a bunch of sewer PVC pipe, small PVC ( great for game poles) and some bigger stuff for jumps poles.  If the pipes are too long, they are easy to cut and they can be spliced easy too.

I take coffee cans, put a 5’ length of ¾” or 1” PVC in with quick-crete and we have poles for games.  You can easily spray paint them and they are easy to move from the ground or horse back (another game for the older riders).

I got some ugly fake flower bunches at the area thrift store and they can go in the holes of the sewer pipes for a different look for an obstacle course or to carry and put in a new location.

The flower bunches are $6 at Hobby Lobby and under a $1 each at the thrift stores.

We need to paint some of the new stuff and remove the rocks from the new arena sand; so we will have a Rock N Roll party!  Paint rollers and buckets!  I figured with hot dogs, all the pop they want and other fixin’s, we can have a party for the volunteers or kids and get some things done at the same time.

Hmm, maybe add some old rock in roll music in the back ground to make it fun.

We also got some old cable spools that are great for tables in the barn yard.

So, if you need some props and are tried of asking for donations or spending $, ask about what the lumber yard or plumbing supply might think of as trash!  Next, I am calling he paint store to see what they have in goof paint.  There are always lots of paint goofs in a store that needs a place to go.
