I know nothing about either program in spite of the fact I drive by
Sorensons at least once per week. I did look at their website and I do
not see where EAP is highlighted at all. This is not to say it is not
used at that particular program. What I can say is after having worked
at The Aspen Ranch for one month, Equine Assisted Psychotherpay is
currently being made the cornerstone of that program. I was recently
hired at THE ASPEN RANCH, and in spite of never having been awarded my
Level III plaque and papers due to the current politics of EAGALA, I
am a Level III certified clinian, and Joanna Sievers LCSW was just
hired also, and is a Level II certified EAP clinician. The Aspen Ranch
also just trained its clinical staff and residential staff in
utilizing the Positive Peer Culture system of treatment and is paying
to have all the clincians certified in equine assisted psychotherapy.
Brandon Burr LCSW Clinical Director and Melodie Rose LCSW, PsyD
Executive Director, and Kevin Knutson LPC Program Director were also
recently hired to implement these positive therapeutic changes in this
community. Having been in community mental health, corrections, and
wilderness, I am impressed with the clinical experience they bring to
this population, their knowledge, and their common sense approach in
working with these kids. Unlike my last clinical experience in
wilderness that was filled with high school antices and profit
motivated decisions. I have contacted one of my most trusted
educational consultants that works for the Woodbury Reports to see if
he can shed some light on either of the programs Dr. Levine has made
an inquiry about, and look forward to his insight.

A mother of one of my patients had run across them in her search for
help for her daughter. I was hoping someone here might be able to
give me some information about them [good and/or bad]. Thanks.
