Hey Pam
I wanted to through this at you. I use alot of homeopathy and natural treament on my horses. As a matter of fact I have just finished successfully trating joint ill inmy new born colt naturally when the vet said it would be a minimum of 1500 with no guarentees. His hock was no ostified and he also broke it. As of the second set of xrays he is healed and runs all the time. Anyway- you may want to look for some nautral cures. Two sites are www.holisticpetinfo.com search parvo. they carry a homeopathic remedy. Also www.parvobuster.com. You will need to pay to overnight the rememdy as natural healing needs to be administered several times a day. But this will treat the pup systemically and reach right at the cause, not the symptoms. Actually wash it from the blood and body as it does with humans. I can research further if you would like a specific homeopathic rememdy. I have not studied small animals as much as equine, but I would be happy to for you. Just let me know. Ill be praying for your pup. You are welcome to call my cell with any questions too.

I know horse people usually have dogs. Are there any words of wisdom on PARVO treatment? On Mon, June 15th, my daughter-in-law got an 8-week old female puppy from a shelter near her work in TN, and it was diagnosed with PARVO last night, June 18th. It had been vaccinated for PARVO on May 8th but had been housed right next to a cage with puppies who had PARVO. So far, the admiting vet bill is $650.00. This is the same daughter-in-law who lost her mother in May and her 4-mo old niece in June. It looks like that kid just can't catch a break, and it breaks my heart. Is there any hope for this puppy? Also - we were supposed to go there for Father's Day and now I am afraid to bring the virus back to my house with four dogs. thx - Pam
