Hi everyone,

It's been a while since I posted on the board. Well, last week it was
my first anniversary after my surgery (left ATL).

I'm so glad to report that I've been totally free of seizures and
auras ever since the surgery (before surgery I used to average 6 CPS
per month plus lots of auras).

I'm also on the very last step before stopping one of the two drugs
I'm on and afterwards I'll be on mono-therapy. I was also given a
schedule for a very slow lowering of that drug too.

For the 1 year post-op review, they did a repeat EEG on me and found
no epileptiform discharges. Other tests included VA/VF and a very long
session with the neuropsychologist.

I pray for the good health of everyone.

Best regards,
Liz

Hi Dudley, I'm sorry I don't subscribe to your point of view. In my case, the epilepsy was clearly documented to be due to a localised structural lesion and...

Dudley, Oh this is too much between you and Liz. Liz is right when she says surgery was the best way for her since she had a structural lesion which was...

... You are misquoting me, which makes *your* post meaningless and unfair. What I said was "You *might* have spared yourself the drugs and the surgery had you...
