Hiya all
As you know, my son has gran mal seizures and status epilepticus. These
seizures occur any time and place and sometimes require a trip to the emergency
room to stop them as they do not stop by themselves and sometimes the
pharmaceuticals do not work.
I have reported to you all (although there's been no feedback) the success we
are having with Lobelia inflata to stop the seizures with a minimum amount of
pharmaceuticals.
How do those folks who take care of you handle you, physically, after a
seizure to get you to a point of both safety and comfort?
I am finding it increasingly more difficult to physically manage my 200 lb
son in the hours after a seizure and before he has some return of body strength
and muscle coordination.
As you read last week and in my earlier reports this year, the paramedics
helped get my son into the back seat of the car and then we stayed in the car
(me
laying down in the front seat, him laying on the back seat) for over two
hours. Only then could he stand (but not without support) long enough for me to
get him into the house and into bed.
He needs well over 24 hours to recover from a seizure.
