You are looking to treat the symptom. How about looking for the
cause? Or looking at what Cayce had to say about them?
As for the VNS:
EFA: "Vagus nerve stimulation consists of electrical signals
that
are applied internally to the vagus nerve in the neck for
transmission to the brain. The vagus nerve is one of the primary
communication lines from the major organs of the body to the brain.
The electrical signals are delivered via an implantable medical
device, called the NCP System, a small, round battery the size of a
silver dollar which is surgically placed in the chest wall."
http://www.efa.org/answerplace/meds/othertreatments.html "It's
hard
to know in advance how someone with epilepsy will respond to VNS
therapy. Successful VNS therapy reduces the number of seizures people
have and, sometimes, how long they last. It's unlikely to stop
seizures completely. Studies show that about one-third of people
treated with VNS experience a major improvement in seizure control.
One-third experience some improvement, and one-third continue to have
seizures as before." http://efa.org/answerplace/vns/work.html
