Hi Helen, Have they actually diagnosed you with epilepsy, or have
the doctors determined that your seizure was caused by the high
fever and/or sinus infection? If not, go to see a neurologist
asap. Since you work in a hospital you have ready access to doctors
you alreay may know. Your supervisor sounds like a real winner,
demanding that you work while you are ill. Particularly in a
hospital where others are sick as well. Most hospitals will send
you home if you are a sick employee or to employee health to be
examined.
I grew up with epilepy, which was brought on due to a high fever.
Though my seizures were not grand mal, in the early 1960's, when
they knew less about seizures than they did now, you can be sure
they were scary to witness, no matter how sever they were.
Feel free to e-mail me privately.
