I'm no expert but from the research I've done: yes the caffeine is necessary for
fat burning. However, you may not need it.
Ephedrine alone acts as an appetite suppressant. Caffeine alone acts as a
stimulant. Combined you get the thermogenic effect that does the fat burning.
I think it depends on what you want out of it...the appetite suppressing may be
enough.
Take care,
Devin

Subject: [ephedraforum] Ephedrine question
Hi-
I have a question. I have been a member for a while, but mostly I just
read the posts; now I am a bit confused. I used to work out and had
13% body fat (great for a woman). I married someone who does not care
to work out, but I miss my body. I started back again, and I didn't
have Xenedrine. I got 10 mg ephedrine HCL, and I took it. I noticed a
big difference, but my heart rate increased a lot. I am only 116 lb;
so, I have to be careful. Is the caffine necessary to burn fat? My
goal weight is 103, and I've had my thyroid removed- that makes it
harder, but it also makes the heart rate concerns higher also. Any
suggestions, thoughts, advice? I'm just wondering if the 10mg HCL is
fine alone.
