Hi Everyone!
I read Doreens message & it got me thinking about my own path(s) that
I've taken in my life. I can remember as a very young girl, loving to
draw, color in coloring books & reading constantly.
Following along the line's of Doreen's life choices in her
chosen profession, I basically chose to work in a career that brought
me great joy & excitement. I became a Graphic Artist & now I work in
a library! So both my love of creating beautiful things & drawing &
my love of books & reading were realized in my careers & in all
honesty, I can't even imagine working at something I didn't love!
To me, my chosen profession(s) were not "work" because I enjoyed
doing them - they were & are what I believe is my soul's purpose in
this life. The way I knew that these careers were right for me was
the feeling or surge of excitement & energy I experienced when I got
the "right" job. I truly felt as if I was being guided.
As a child, I was encouraged to develop these expressions. I wonder
now if my family realized how they were contributing to my future
life's work? But contribute they did & for that I'm grateful. My
message to all who are in a quandry as to what to do when they grow
up (that includes ALL age groups!)- follow your instincts & if
something just doesn't feel "right", don't do it because you may set
yourself up for a miserable time. If you don't enjoy what you're
doing, I believe you can't do a good job at it either (at least not
for long!).
Happy Passover & Easter to all!
Berni
