Hi Patrick,
I wish that I could send you the quick solution to your problem of low
self esteem, but unfortunately there isn't one. Like anything worth
having, it's something we all have to work on & it takes time.
Try to keep in mind that many famous people were once considered
"freaks" & "losers" (Does Abraham Lincoln & Bill Gates ring a bell?) &
I'm sure they went through rough times in their lives. But, they took
the talents & abilities they had, worked hard to improve on them &
eventually they reaped the rewards. Were they losers? Were they
freaks? No, not at all.
We're all blessed with the gifts of individuality - we are all very
different people - no two of us alike & that makes life interesting;
so it's our job to find what it is that is so special about ourselves
(& there IS something in you Patrick - as in all of us) & develop it.
Also try to remember that the most important person in your life is
you - & when you learn to love yourself, because you are special &
deserve it, your self-esteem will grow. Know your limitations & accept
them, knowing that noone is perfect, & concentrate on your gifts!
Good luck to you!
Berni
