hi everyone, Im Erik

New to the group, I am a police officer in NJ. I guess I should give
some background on myself.

I am 23 years old, and in July of 2001, before I became a police
officer, I lost my brother to violence while in the line of duty. At
the time of his death, I was scheduled the start the police academy
the next week. I postponed it a month and finally completed it.

on 2-21-03 I celebrated my first year on the job, but looking back,
besides the fact that I am now on the job, still fulfilling my
lifelong dreams, I see myself in somewhat of a spiral in other facets
of my life.

I looked for a group like this, because basically i think i need it.
I am not a big talker in person, but I figured maybe there were some
other people in the world who knew what I am going through.
