I'm glad to hear that!

Sheesh. Seems like there are better ways to take care of somebody than
threats like that. I'm fairly certain that the police would tell her that
there's nothing anybody can do if you choose not to take your meds. That's
your right.

It sounds like they are very worried about you, but that doesn't mean
they're going to try to do anything against your will. They should know
what the law allows and it is utterly wrong, I think, to make empty threats
to try to change your behavior. I hope that you are able to trust them to
do what is best for you. I'm not saying that I know that they are
trustworthy; only you know that. I'm just hoping that you are getting care
from people you can trust. If you can't trust them, perhaps you need to let
them know that?

Medications and their side effects can be such a nightmare... trading one
set of troubles for another.

Nick

I am having an appointment with the Pain Clinic at my VA, and I'm wondering if they might take away my freedom? I feel that I have never really had that much...

... Sure it is - and it says you feel safe here, which is a compliment to everyone present. What the VA can do depends in part on what state you live in. But...
