Drummer,
I deleted your last messages to the emphysema and asthma nets concerning your mentioning of other web sites. We are not fools!! All of us are quite capable of reviewing the internet for ourselves and exploring other related web sites if we chose to do so. Most of us have; I know I have.
Obviously, your intent is to imply, rather deviously in my opinion, that persons who happen to find themselves on this web site should be cautioned of other alternatives - that somehow they may be in a "dangerous place." If this is your intent - I say: what nonsense!!
Your persistence in continuing with interjecting your "political agenda" on this web site is extremely frustrating to me and the majority of members. If it continues, I will continue to delete such messages on the basis that such messages do not in any way contribute to the purpose of this group - which is to share our experiences with Buteyko so that we may help each other.
If you choose to leave, do so knowing that you have accomplished one thing for which I am grateful to you. You have bonded the members of this web site more firmly in our belief in the importance of defending our belief in and our gratification for the Buteyko Breathing System.
It is a shame though. If I were either contemplating lung reduction surgery or already had had the surgical procedure, I think I would be extremely interested in finding out about "Buteyko." For examples, what is the shallow breathing versus deep breathing; what is the objection to "pursed breathing"; why the disenchantment of oxygen therapy; why the fascination over CO2 levels in the lungs; what is the reasoning for this idea of taping the mouth at night. This and many other matters will be discussed - your mind is closed however.
Think, for a moment, Drummer if you should stick around you will eventually be exposed to persons (heroes in my book) who have successfully practiced Buteyko not just for years and years some even decades. Think for example, of learning from Terry who just came back from New Zealand and spent so much time with the Professor and his wife. This is the type of material, I want shared on this net - I want to find out more from Terry - not listen to your "political concerns."
Ken
