Dear MParris,

You aren't going to like this idea at first - at least.

For myself, I think that swallowing tobacco, with little or no chewing, is
quite effective in sustaining the nicotine levels I desire.

"Chewing" tobacco has a bad name because of spitting that is commonly
associated with it. However, the effect of the tobacco seems quite as
strong, and certainly as long lasting, when swallowed immediately.

I WON'T tell you this is safe, or that it is approved by insects or
mammals. Isn't it reasonable to think swallowing might hurt his lungs less
than smoking, and therefore somehow be better than nicotine inhalation, for
this situation. Check with his doctor, to see what the doctor thinks about
swallowing.

Of course, it's not up to me or you, anyway.
