HI My Dad who is 54 was diagnosed with emphysema almost 2 years ago. This past
early spring he ended up in the hospital with pnemonia. He quit somking for only
a month. He has been offered a operation that could improve the quality of his
life. But it could also make him worse. We are at wits end on what to do. He has
to take disability, so that means less income for him and my mother. Any
suggestions on how to get a stubborn man that has smoked for most of his life to
quit and stay smoke free? He has 3 grandchildren which love him dearly and would
like to see him around for a long time. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks. MParris
