Hello everyone,
On April 26th, 2003, I woke up feeling a little ill, like i had the
flu. I went to work at 7:30 am, by 9:am that morning I am on my way to
the emergency room, with an asthma atack that had me pale and turning
blue. In the emergency room as they were treatong me, I got worse. I
was admitted immediatly with a diagnois of asthma exhaberation and
bronchil pnemonia. On April 29th I was released. I went toi have a
follow up exam on May 1st where i was informed i also have emphazema,
Given lots more medicine then i was given when realsead. I am
currently on a prednisone, 2 different inhalers, and takeing nebulizer
breathing treatments at home with 2 different types of medicine 4
times a day, and still having trouble breathing. I go to the doctir on
May 8th for a pulminary function test, where hopefully the doctor will
put in writing all that she has been telling me. I also quit smoking
on May 1st> This ilness allk of the sudden had thrown my family into a
loop. I am wondering who i contact to get some support set up, if not
for me for the family to deal with feeling they are having. I know i
am having enogh trouble adjusting to being helaty one day to having
trouble walking to the bathroom in just 1 day
