I am new to this group. I joined so that I could learn more to help
my dad who has emphysema. Dad is 78 years old, gave up smoking about
8 years ago and is still active. I need some help in locating an
oxygen product. We see people carry portable oxygen in a small
shoulder carrier or hip pack. It has become necessary to have one
for my dad, we are unable to locate a source. The medical supply
stores sell/rent "e" tanks on a small cart but this is not what we
are looking for...we want the oxygen just for the times when he will
be out in a high altitude (our mountain cabin) or at a ballgame that
requires a little extra activity than he is comfortable doing at this
time. He only needs 2-Lpm for an hour or two at most. His doctor has
agreed, but does not offer a source, he will write whatever
prescription is needed. Could someone tell us the manufactuer or the
name of this product? Does anyone have a source in Southern
California? We would appreciate some assistance in finding this
product. Thank you for your assistance!
Linda
