The ink is hardly dry on Delaware's smokefree workplace law, and tobacco interests are trying to repeal it.
Last month, Delaware Governor Ruth Ann Minner signed into law Delaware's smokefree workplace bill, creating a smokefree work environment for ALL Delaware workers (including office, restaurant, bar, nightclub, and casino workers). It's scheduled to go into effect in November. But a group of pro-tobacco legislators have introduced a bill to try to exempt restaurants, bars, and casinos.
If you would like to send a letter to the Governor urging her to stand up to the tobacco cartel, go to http://www.smokefree.org/Delaware.
All the best,
Joe
