Hi, Alex and Helen and everyone. This is bilingual Diane from St Louis, USA.
I've looked at Lucia's translation of the intro to Emo Trance, though not in
full depth yet, but it looks to be very good. The tricky thing with
translations is that sometimes you have to forgo the literal translation (exact
words) to capture the meaning. She's done a lovely job, however I think it
would be good to have a few opinions in terms of the best words to use for terms
like "even flow", and "soften, flow and release". Lucia choice of words seems
to be good and generic (in terms of Spanish speaking worlds, where not all terms
are interchangeable, even though they're still Spanish... like English language
and others). Still, I might tweak some words a bit. What I'd like to do is
print it (my printer is down) and show it to some other people over time, to see
if we're capturing the full message, if you all are in agreement. As a
beginning, VERY workable document, it serves the Emo Trance world well! The
rest will be fine-tuning.
I am grateful to you all for moving forward with this, as I am traveling to Peru
(where I was reared) in October, and hoped to introduce Emotrance to some
colleagues and friends... and now I have a translation to show them!
I assume, Alex, there is nobody there yet doing the work?
I would have to look at the other version too, my time is limited right now, and
it IS time-consuming work, which is why I appreciate the work you all have put
in so far, but perhaps it will be helpful to compare those special terms, coming
from different, "innocent" places and minds ...
More later then...
Namaste...
Adios, amigos!~
Diane

My Spanish isn't good enough to really know-it seems good. It would
be great to possibly have another bilingual person look at Lucia's
translation (or at both translations), and see if there are any
changes needed. I'm not qualified for that fine-level tuning. Helen
