EA is over 35 years old, hundreds of groups worldwide. Several other online discussion groups are mentioned at the EA Web site (emotionsanonymous.org), along with an online EA magazine, meeting locator, and other services. Our guidelines, which apply to both loop posts and private email among group members (as such), are based on EA and Yahoo! rules. Among them: No arguing, criticism (including positive criticism), or advice. Please don't offer or ask for advice. Why? Because it could result in advice! Feedback (not advice) can be asked for, but please don't offer it; it's hard for some people to say no.

(Criticism about the way the group is moderated is OK (be gentle).)

Post or lurk as you wish. No introductions required. There's no homework (but EA literature for discussion is posted and in our Files area).

Non-EA subjects, like religion and politics, and non-EA literature, are off-topic, like, Italian poetry isn't discussed in a French class. (Exception: other 12-step literature is OK for historical or group-oriented discussions (not personal program shares).)

Please TRIM posts that you quote.

Delays happen with new posts, which are screened for spam. If the posts are OK, you're put on non-screened status. This may take a few days.
