Hello there chickenslinga, I know what you've gone
through, and I've been there before (both in the
workplace and home, until i fixed the home problem by
having the roomate move out).
I think that perhaps h1 and h2 are jealous of
something you have, like more education, sense of
humour, values, a continuing desire to better your
life, a couple very close friends (outside work), and
that they lack. Or that they have a more miserable
life (boyfriend/husband left them, they're single
mothers from an early age, they have no inside push to
better their own lives, etc). Don't give them the
satisfaction of seeing you down. when you have to
deal with them, be as civil as possible, smile, and
move on. they're not worth it. Just remember, G-d
helps those who help themselves and treat others as
you want to be. if they treat others like dirt, then
they will eventually get what they dish out. take
care of yourself first, do what you like to do that
makes you feel better.
