I have been, bullied/worked in a hostile workplace for 10 years and
now have been diagnosed with Post traumatic stress disorder, extreme
anxiety and depression due to work. I too am a different person than
I was 10 years ago, but I am not alone at work, There are four other
people this same boss has caused emotional damage too. We have tried
to support each other emotionally, and have tried to resolve this
issue by addressing it directly with the person doing the bullying as
well as making complaints to the Humane Resources department. I have
a solid case for a law suit according to one attorney, but I am still
contacting other attorneys as well because I want the best attorney I
can find. I am 95% sure this is a large and winable case. I can also
gaurantee that the media would love to make this case into an
international media circus. I actually only recently got online to
see if others have dealt with the same types of things and was
horrified to find out how widespread it is. The more widespread I
find that it is the more I think I should proceed with the law suit
if for no other reason than to call attention to this horror that
people are suffering through.
Good Luck to each of you suffering out there. The best I can tell you
is do a diary with quotes of the conversations and put a note if
other people witnessed it. So if it can become a case for management,
or a law suit you will have evidence and witnesses to back you up.
