You say he is the perfect person for you after he did all of that to you!?!?!

Honey, I know it's hard. I know how you feel. I tried in vain for years to
get my ex to love me for who I truly was. But I realized eventually that he
never COULD love me for who I was, because I wasn't truly BEING ME!!! I was
being WHO I THOUGHT HE WANTED ME TO BE!!!

40 isn't all that old, sweetheart. Do yourself a favor and start believing
in you - even if it is just a little. Would YOU ever treat anyone the way he
treats you? OF COURSE NOT - because you KNOW it is not right.

You can never MAKE someone love you. I have been in your shoes, and I truly
understand your pain and confusion. You know in your heart. Follow it.
