That's what they call him at other firms he's worked. He curses at
us, calls us names ranging from "stupid" to "monkeys" to "idiots" and
on and on. He berates people in front of everyone, says he's the only
one with any intelligence (obviously not) and generally rants and
raves over totally insignificant things. On a daily basis he
threatens "firing the whole bunch of stupid ass-----" --you get the
picture.

We are a small law office. The other partner has no spine whatsoever
and just goes along with the program. I've been here 3 years --
longer than most -- and I'm ready to get out. Nothing is worth this
type of abuse. I just can't imagine why it isn't against the law to
treat people like this. Most of us put up with it because the job
market is poor right now in our line of work and they pay us very
well. But, it is no longer worth the headaches or stress that we have
to endure daily with this guy.

Is there anything that can be done about this man? Is he legally
entitled to do this and we either take it or move on? I'd be
interested in knowing about alternatives. If I thought there was any
chance at all of stopping his madness by suing him, I'd do it in a
heartbeat. He doesn't frighten me -- just makes me want to vomit.
