Turning
off lights at night surprisingly has something to do with body
processes during our sleep. Interesting isn¢t it ? Here is the fact...
Melatonin,
one of the hormone in body immune system that fights against diseases
including breast and prostate cancer only effectively produced by our
body in the dark surrounding. Sleeping at night with the lights on, no
matter how dim it is may put melatonin production to a halt.
Biologist Joan Roberts found this after experimenting on animals where their
melatonin production as well as the immune system dropped after exposed to light
during sleep time at night.
Lastly, don¢t only pay attention to your bedroom lightings, TV is also a source
of light that may prevent the hormone to unleash. So, turning off lights during
your sleep is a natural and easy way to keep you in good shape.
