I have been lurking here for several months and getting ready to
start back to my ER work I had been doing until February of this year
when a lump I had in my arm for some time turned out to be a synovial
sarcoma. I thought it was a torn biceps tendon. So after 5 months of
recovery from radiation and removal, I believe i'm somewhat ready to
go back to the ER.
In addition to sharing, I'm suggesting that nurses keep a good
check on their own health. There may be no sense in being paranoid,
but there is a lot of sense to be made out of being prudent. Just
because you are a nurse, don't presume you know much about anything.
Get a good through physical once a year. JTatum
