Dear Damien, and all on emergency-nurse@yahoogroups.com,
Congratulations on your achievement! It is quite an
accomplishment to have such a large and successful group.
"Em-Nsg-L: The Emergency Nursing List" has also for the last few
months sustained growth to over 1000 members (all lists fluctuate,
somewhat) from, currently, at least 18 countries that can be identified.
Since we have always had an affinity of interests and shared goals, it is
with warm and happy feelings that we applaud the Emergency-Nurse.org list
and its members.
Insofar as can be told from my researches, these two lists are not
only the largest in the Emergency Nursing Specialty, I have not been able
to identify *any* larger nursing list either general, specialty, or
representing a nursing professional organization. Emergency Nurses are
concerned and passionate about the work our specialty does.
Our most current figures are:
* Country Subscribers
* ------- -----------
* Australia 11
* Austria 1
* Belgium 1
* Bermuda 1
* Canada 23
* Denmark 1
* Great Britain 4
* Hong Kong 1
* Japan 8
* Lebanon 1
* Micronesia, Federal States of 1
* Netherlands 1
* New Zealand 1
* Norway 1
* South Africa 1
* Tonga 1
* USA 946
I invite members of both lists to partake of the discussion and
resources of each. The viewpoints of all are useful in the issues that
concern us and by which we can improve the care of our patients. Emergency
Nurses not only lead the way in improving care, but also lead the way among
nursing specialties in using the Internet to create and share advances.
All the best . . . , and, every possible success is wished for
both lists. . .
Sincerely,
Tom Trimble, RN CEN
List Administrator for "Em-Nsg-L: The Emergency
Nursing List"
