I work in a community hospital in a far west suburb of
Chicago, IL USA. We use the 5 tier system. The one
problem I have with it is the difference between 3, 4
and 5. Perhaps a patient will only need an Xray and
is therefore a 4, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't
go before a 3 who will need another resource or two,
especially if the 4 is in a lot of pain.
