Hi Damien..
At my hospital...... we use: Emergent (Immediately) Urgent (30 minutes). About;
80% MOST of our cases, (like all community hospitals) are Non-Urgent( within 2
hours). We are presently bringing all the patients as possible. NOBODY WAITS IN
THE WAITING ROOM.... As long as we have a bed open .....fill it! That's what
our management wants. We try to not let people sit in the WR, as possible. My
thought; anybody sitting in the waiting room is an accident waiting to happen.
We are under construction and then we will be using the 5 Tier triage system.
I belong to ENA and went to a seminar about it, it's easy to teach, for the
whole staff in about 2 hours. It's now the national and accepted type of
triaging.
I invite you to visit the Emergency Nurses site www.ENA.org
If I can send you any info or can help; just give me a holler!
Have a great holiday & everyone in the group.

Hi all,
I'm trying to conduct an informal poll on what triage systems are
currently being used in departments around the world.
Which triage score do you use where you are? If you would mind
posting it to the list with any thoughts / comments etc it would be
great.
FYI, in the UK triage has fallen from favour a bit with
new 'initiatives' such as 'See and Treat' etc. There are still
obviously methods for mass casualty incidents which I will try to
dig out and post to the list.
Looking forward to your replies!
