Hi DiAnna, I have 3 kids and only one of them has back problems she has
scoliosis and she is only 6, but my kids live in pain all the time and it is
hard with them, cause if something is painful you know they really hurt much
worse than others. They tollerate the pain more than most. But our problems
are more of dislocations and extreeme hyperflexibily. My oldest daughter can
dislocate a shoulder in an instant, her knees and wrist do the same thing. I
have even seen her hips do it. All three of my kids and my self all also bruise
very easily and if you get a cut or scrape the scar usually gets pretty wide or
big, in other words it does not look like a normal scar. But like i said our
biggest problem is the dislocations. I am sorry I cannot help you more there.

My name is DiAnna and I am 27. I've been through countless doctors and
had my first back sugery at age 23 after countless orthopedics sent me
home labeled as a drug seeker. When the MRI was finally ordered, I had
two ruptured disks and one herniated. Now, I have 2 reherniations,
chronic pain, constant depression, and a doctor that is more concerned
about "fixing" me and won't even listen to me. My mother was diagnosed
with Ehler Danlos after dozens of doctors and 10 (yes, 10) back
surgeries. My two sisters also have back pain. Somehow she managed to
keep going and raise 6 kids and manage a full time job as an RN. I
can't figure out how she did it! Finding some people that could
actually understand the suck level of this syndrome would be
great...sometimes a little validation goes a long way!?
