Re: [Ehlers Danlos Support Club] Anyone have problems with surgery?
Hi Grace I had back surgery 2 years ago to correct my scoliosis. I had 2, 17
inch rods put in my spine. I have an unknown type of EDS I have had many Dr's
label it one of a kind. But I mainly had trouble with bleeding I ended up having
to have 5 pints of blood. I dont know about you but my veins roll and bust very
easily i had to be put to sleep before they incerted my IV. Then while in
surgery I requested a central line it's just something that stays in so they can
get blood and incert meds without resticking you. I would also let you know
about your EDS if your joints are really mobil so when they go tp help you move
if it's needed they wont dislocate something. Good Luck
Crystal
