Hi Julie and Dudley,

Great info. and article shared Dudley.  I know mine is more emotionally based
and I fiddle with hair so the follicles get weakened and can slip out.  When I
tie up my hands then I see favorable results. I do eat a very healthy diet, but
surely can be missing lots as Julie shed wisdom on.  I need to get back to Flax
Seed oil or the seeds ground daily plus eating more sea veggies, also known as
seaweeds.  I can help with recipe ideas or you can google. I  love it, but get
lazy with self and more diligent with other parts of my life like exercise
often.

I also heard sprouts is great mainly alfalfa.  I love sprouting and you can
google the steps.  If allowed here I will gladly share, but want to do what is
proper here in sharing department then go off into another direction.  I love
this group so want to obey the posting topic rules.

Thanks all if I forgot you but your wisdom is very appreciated.

My condition has been long term for the hair and have had difficulty shaking the
"habit of fiddling."  Conscious of habit/behavior.

Tina,

You can use a double boiler on the top of the stove to heat the castor oil
packs--and many alternative therapists have sliding scales for people with
hardships--it doesn't hurt to ask.

I was using castor oil packs with my son for awhile. I did see it calmed him a
lot. My oven has been broken down since summer. I need another way to heat it.
It is time-consuming. An hour or more. I have to lay with my son, or he won`t
lay down. It gets tedious. Maybe after awhile, he would do it on his own. I
probably could try with my daughter at bedtime. As for energy healing, I am
interested in that. Problem being,is money. My son`s dad was from WV. His
grandparents are still there. They live in Thomas. I would love to learn this
stuff myself. Where could one go to get the training?What is the cost? Can you
get financial aid? I have child care issues,that is my other big problem.

Hi Tina,

Castor oil packs often have a very positive effect on children with
attention issues.  Also, "Gut and Psychology Syndrome" by Natasha
Campbell-McBride offers some interesting perspectives.  If someone has a
leaky gut, supplementation actually can exacerbate rather than help
symptoms.

Hi Julie,
Again, thanks for continued support.  My dog NEVER ate grains till right now.  I
am familiar with candida which hubby was diagnosed due to dietary challenges.  I
didn't think of probiotics and now that is great advice.

I'll give Jeannette a call for her "suggestions."  Right now the big news is the
dog is eating more, appearing to have lots more energy and the vet suggested
time, with little hope to heal this disease.  However, I am believing
differently and acting accordingly.  I have to reconsider options is removing
grains from diet as then she will be living on only meat and hates
veggies.......Vet has suggested 1/3 starch, 1/3 meat and think 1/3 veggies.

Thanks Julie about need oil.  I believe this condition for her ears is a result
of the lupus and they will be working on them tomorrow along with me asking more
questions.

With the lupus it affects her nose and some days the top of nose can be very
red, then it can be back to normal color.

For her paws since we are covering them up with cotton socks he is believing
they look and smell like a fungus so we are bathing them in apple cider vinegar
by dipping them in and out, then drying with paper towel and letting them
breath.

They will clip the hair on bottom of paws so she can't pull it out.

She has been licking like crazy when we have socks off.  A catch 22 here.

She has come a far way for sure.

I am very grateful and appreciative of your help.

Wow, and thanks.

Today the dog had an exceptional day--first since diagnosis.

I looked at the great links you provided.  Have you known dogs w/lupus using
either of these treatments.

She's getting super low dose of cortisone, but still any poison is too much. 
I'm into alternatives and heard that light I may have shared has vets using it
for the pets too.  We do keep dog out of sun, but today a day of shade and
loving it too!  She appeared to be the old dog we knew.  Her ears are kind of
bloodish but cleaned with cotton ball.

Dog had a great day and almost back to normal without running like a crazy 10
year old nut.
