Hi Folks...
Just wanted to give a thumbs up to caster oil as
a treatment for allergies, colds and sore throats. It
has worked for everyone I know who has tried it. I
used to have allergies every year and I read the
"Cayce Cures" (don't remember the author). It had a
lot of info about the oils that Cayce prescribed, even
olive oil for back aches. I know that works too. I
haven't had back problems for years thanks to that.
Whenever I feel a little achey, on goes the oil and
seconds (yes seconds) later it's gone. Then, last
month on Newsmax, they have found that olive oil has
more painkillers in it than aspirin or ibuprofrin
combined! With no side affects! Score another one
for Cayce. For instant relief from sinusitis, just rub
some caster oil on the face and sniff a little, just a
little up the nose. A drop or two into the eyes also
helps a lot. I know it sounds wierd but it works.
Within seconds. (it used to be prescribed for
pink-eye) Better than any drug I have tried. And I
have tried everything from sudafed to pyrilbenzamine
to allerest to claritin. Cayce also says a few drops
a day when you are feeling a cold coming on will boost
your immune system and I know this works too. Used in
this manner, it has no laxative effects as it takes a
good dose to do that. ...I think that author's name
is Dr William McCarey.. Hey Dudley, does that sound
familiar to you? He is a Dr. at the ARE in Phoenix...
I posted this because I sincerely feel that these
things work for many problems and I believe it would
benefit everyone to get this book and see what a few
cheap bottles of oil can do. after all, anything is
better that dealing with complex expensive
pharmaceuticals that can give more problems than one
already has! ...chow!
Marilyn - I have used Inspirol on and off for years. No problem at all. For my
own allergies, I now use a tincture from HerbPharm, Nettles Blend. I was taking
it for reactions to foods, inflammations, and suddenly realized that I no longer
had allergies, the sneezing type from cats and pollen.
I write on a astrology medical forum and I just got this post about my colloidal
silver recommendation....
"...I also took colloidal silver for about 3 weeks, to take care of a lingering
upper respiratory creeping crud thing I had going on. It did the trick. And
thank you, Lynn, for pointing out that it stays in the body for a long time, so
I don't need to take it for long."
I hope this helps you and alleviates any fears....Lynn Koiner

Hi Marilyn,
I have used Inspirol for nasal congestion and found it to be pretty
strong stuff.
If I had pneumonia, I would opt for steam inhalation to maintain my
airways and colloidal silver to treat the infection.
Colloidal silver can also be used in a nebularizer for inhalation
therapy, but that takes special equipment.

Hi All,
A recent four-year study conducted by the Boston University School of
Medicine has shown that drinking as little as one can of soda a
day--either regular or diet--is associated with
a 44% higher risk of developing "metabolic syndrome," a precursor to
heart disease and diabetes,
a 31% higher risk of becoming obese,
a 30% higher risk of having a larger waistline,
a 25% higher risk of developing high blood triglycerides or high blood
sugar,
a 32% higher risk of having low levels of good cholesterol,
and a trend toward an increased risk of high blood pressure.
Here is more evidence that soft drinks are one of the worst things you
could possibly drink:

A much better alternative is fruit or vegetable juice.

Hi Nisha,
Naltrexone is a medication the FDA approved in 1984 for the treatment of
heroin and opium addiction. In very low doses, it appears to be
amazingly effective in treating certain types of cancer--with minimal
side effects, and at a price anyone can afford.
This site contains the remarkable testimonial of how Low Dose Naltrexone
(LDN) not only cured a case of breast cancer, but also halted in its
tracks the progression of a case of chronic progressive MS:

For more information about the efficacy of LDN in treating cancer, visit
http://www.lowdosenaltrexone.org/ldn_and_cancer.htm
I am taking 3.5 mg of LDN nightly for a suspected case of prostate
cancer, and it seems to be working. The symptoms I had (e.g., painless
urethral bleeding and bloody orgasms) have disappeared.

I just joined and wanted to introduce myself. I'm always reading and
learning, I've read several books about Edgar Cayce years ago but
lifes little demands kind of got me sidetracked. I have symptoms of a
form of MD called Friedrich's Ataxia and have been treating myself
with homeopathy for several years now, some positive things but with
my limited knowledge and experience it is very slow going. I have a
web page at http://www.downrivermall.com/About_Muscular_Dystrophy.html
I'm always interested in suggestions or feedback good or bad.
Thanks

Hi everyone, Did you know that nearly 11 million of us have a
hypo-active thyroid? And that Hypothyroidism is linked to obesity and
high cholesterol? Hypothyroidism, also called under-active thyroid, is a
condition in which the thyroid gland doesn't produce enough thyroid
hormone for optimal body function. This little gland has the job of
regulating your basal metabolism, or of converting heat (your calories)
to energy.
To function at it's best, the thyroid gland requires iodine from sea
vegetables (like sea weeds) and some vegetables.Iodine is absolutely
essential for thyroid health. All sea vegetables are high in mineral
content, especially Nori.
The food value of Nori lies in its high protein content (25-35% of dry
weight), vitamins and mineral salts, especially iodine. Its vitamin C
content is about 1.5 times that of oranges and 75% of the protein and
carbohydrates are digestible by humans, which is very high for seaweeds.

Hi Everyone,
Edgar Cayce was a devout Christian who brought healing to people by providing
vital information about treating their various diseases and conditions. There
is, however, a more direct route to healing which, from time to time, has
manifested itself in the human family.
For example, I recently rented a DVD from my local Blockbuster store entitled,
"Man of Faith."
Starring Robert Wagner, Faye Dunaway, Jill St. John, Damian Chapa, and Brad
Dourif, it told the amazing true story of Rev. Leroy Jenkins, a traveling
evangelist who was gifted with the power to heal, restore, and set people free
from all manner of afflictions.
It turned out to be--by far--one of the most uplifting and inspiring Christian
films I have ever seen.
If you want a powerful spiritual boost, and the *absolute assurance* that God is
still in the miracle-working business, see this movie. You won't be
disappointed!
If it is not available at your local video rental place, it can be purchased
from Amazon.com through this website:

Hi Everyone,
Many people with various conditions and diseases claim benefit from
supplementing their diets with eight essential sugars called
glyconutrients.
I recently came across a book on glyconutrients written by Emil Mendoa,

Hi Everyone,
I went shopping at my local supermarket recently for some herbal tea.
Because I am allergic to so many things, pretty much all I can drink is
water and herbal tea.
I noticed one Celestial Seasonings tea in particular that had a lion on
the box holding a teacup in its paw. It was called "Madagascar Vanilla
Red," and it contained rooibos, natural French vanilla flavor, and
vanilla bean.
Having no idea what rooibos was, I did a search on the term at
http://www.google.com
It turns out rooibos (pronounced "roy-bus") is an herb that grows only
in South Africa and has been used by the native population for
centuries. It makes a redish tea that is caffeine-free and a source of
antioxidants. If only half of the health benefits claimed for it are
true, it is something that might be really good to drink.

Hi All,
To help rid your body of toxins, Edgar Cayce suggested drinking half a
glass of warm water every morning. Recently, I noticed that every time I
drank warm tap water, I would sneeze several times about ten minutes
later. Finally, I asked myself why that should be. Was there a
connection between my drinking the water and then sneezing? One of the
cardial signs of an allergic reaction is sneezing. Could I be allergic
to water? Or, more likely, could I be allergic to some contaminate in
the water?
To investigate further, I performed this experiment on three consecutive
mornings:
Day 1: drink the warm tap water as usual
Day 2: drink warm filtered water
Day 3: drink warm distilled water
Drinking the warm tap water elicited the usual sneezing reaction.
Drinking the warm filtered water caused only one sneeze. Drinking the
warm distilled water elicited no sneezing at all.
About a year ago, I switched from distilled to filtered water because it
was cheaper and more convenient. I used the well-known BRITA filtration
system that I purchased from a local supermarket. Perhaps if I were to
employ a better filtration system, the problem would be alleviated. In
any case, I have now returned to drinking distilled water.
I also notice that I sneeze after taking a long shower, and I am now
considering buying a shower filter (not to mention reducing the number
of showers I take).
We do indeed live in a toxic environment!
All the best,
Dudley Delany

Hi Everyone,
Edgar Cayce recommended gold in one form or another in the treatment of
a wide variety of diseases and conditions, particularly those of
neurological origin.
Colloidal gold (CG) consists of submicroscopic particles of gold
suspended in distilled water. It was apparently not readily available in
Cayce's day, for it is never mentioned in the readings.
A pilot study undertaken by Guy Abraham, M.D., showed that colloidal
gold can substantially increase IQ scores. For more information, visit
http://tinyurl.com/ydtt8o
I have been taking two tablespoonfuls of CG for some time now and I
believe it is helping me--at 66 going on 67--to stay mentally focused
and alert. This is my source of supply:

The Edgar Cayce Virtual Library recently moved from WebRing.com to
Yahoo! Groups at

Created about five years ago at the suggestion of Sidney D. Kirkpatrick,
Edgar Cayce's award-winning biographer, it currently consists of
sixty-six Cayce-related articles, essays, testimonials, books, and
booklets. The advantage of its new location is that interested parties
can now not only read, but also discuss what they have read.
