Hi Everyone
It was wonderful meeting so many of you
at the Glasgow LDN conference; apologies that time didn’t permit me
to speak to you all at length.
This month I would like to ask you
all for help:
- I would like as many MSers that have been taking LDN for 4
months, to take part in our 2nd survey; the survey is
designed to be taken 6 monthly to give a full picture over time. The
results will be published anonymously, and your details will never be
passed on to a third party. You do have to register to take part and
it’s free. The link is http://www.ldnresearchtrust.org/survey.asp.
All data is held securely, your input will make a difference. Please
take part.
- For everyone that has been taking LDN for at least 4 months
for whatever condition to add your experience on the forum, this is
also very important the link is http://forum.ldnresearchtrust.org/
post your experience under the LDN section according to your
condition.
- We would love to hear from those of you that would like to
share your LDN story with us for the newsletter, this can be done
anonymously or we can use your name and a photo, it’s entirely
up to you. All stories are edited for spelling and grammar without
changing the meaning in anyway. Please email me if you want to take
part, contact@....
- For all of you that live in the UK to sign the LDN
Petition http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/LowDNaltrexone/
strength is in numbers.
- Once you have done the above please can you add the links to
as many websites as possible and forward this email to everyone who
qualifies to take part.
- Silly still wants to write a book of people’s dreams to
help with fund raising. If you experience strange dreams when starting
LDN for any condition we would love to hear from you. We can do this
without your help, you can use your name or you can write anonymously
it doesn’t matter.
Together we can make a difference,
we can’t do it alone!
We have strength in numbers J
I received the below in a letter
from Marion,
which I wanted to share with you an extract with you....
Well, I’ve been on LDN for
three months now, and guess what?...
I CAN FEEL THE SOLES OF MY FEET
AGAIN!.. After nearly ten years of approx 40% (variable) sensation in them,
I can now feel around 70%-90% sensation most of the time (slightly less if
I’ve been over doing things, but hey ho). It started about three weeks
ago and it’s getting better all the time. Isn’t that exciting?!
I’m truly chuffed to say the least.
It feels really odd, but fabulous of course. I’d actually forgotten what “normal”
feels like so it looks like a whole new experience – and I keep
giggling to myself whenever I feel the texture of my socks… or my bed
sheets / carpet / flooring etc when I’m barefoot. And I can feel the
temperature in them all too. Cool eh? (…er, or warm/hot lol)
Bliss….And wonderfully tickly at times (but in a good way) J
LDN also seems to be (gradually)
helping with my fatigue levels too – which is already making a
difference to my day, in all sorts of ways. Onwards and upwards I say!
Thank you for allowing me to copy
part of your letter Marion
and good luck J
We all take feeling
“normal” for granted until we loose it!!

As always thank you to all of you
that have setup regular donations, without your help and support we
couldn’t carry on. We have collected just over 22,000 towards
Clinical Trials, no wages are taken out of the charity just the running
costs which keep growing as we get bigger. If you want to make a donation
or set up a regular payment, every 1 really does counts. If everyone set
up even a 1 a month donation we would really be getting somewhere. Our
bank details can be found. http://forum.ldnresearchtrustorg/index.php?showforum=57
A special thank you to Will Ou and
Lee, for designing the LDN Conference Programme for us.
On a personal note Good Luck and
Thank You to Lucy Solomon for giving me holiday cover, I hope you
don’t regret it!!
Lastly, wishing you all a great
summer.
Best Regards
Linda
