There can be false positives / negatives with these tests. For instance we got a
negative for egg for our daughter. We did an elimination diet as well and when
we reintroduced eggs sure enough she flared up badly so we know for certain egss
is a trigger. Have you tried elimination diets? They tend to be the most
accurate. They are time consuming but you do get answers. For our daughter we
found the main ones to cause her eczema were dairy, eggs and yeast, once those
have been cut out her skin is all but perfect. I also suggest a good naturopath
that has experience in nutrition as well.

Subject: [eczemapsoriasis] Allergies showing nothing - what next?
I went to my Allergist/Immunolog ist last night & after a series of about 50
allergy & immunological tests (all done with the blood), they showed nothing.
In fact, they showed that all of my allergic responses were not only within the
normal range, they were toward the bottom. We're both a little confused by this
and he recommended that my next step is to see another dermatologist (I'd like
to get a biopsy) and to see a gastroenterologist.
Really, he didn't seem confused, he pointed out that you can still have an
allergic response and it wouldn't show up on these tests or I could be exposed
to something else and that hasn't been tested.
Clearly, there's a problem. What else should I be looking at?
And this is all very conventional/ Western stuff - what else should I be looking
at? I'm not even sure I should be going down this route, but I feel like I need
to check out all of these things first and see if there is a chance that I can
do something. Maybe I'm just being stubborn.
Any thoughts?
