My Father had Eczema for about 6-7 years. He had on his legs and back. He tried
all the English medicine including the UV radiation treatment but the results
were temporary. He has to continue the treatment otherwise it was intolerable.
The medicine includes sedative also.
Now with the advice of my sister we took to the AYURVEDIC TREATMENT from
Dr.Vedavathy who is practicing in Bangalore. The doctor told that he will get
cured provided he follows all the prescription without fail and she also gave
the duration of one year since my father was suffering from almost 7 years. She
also advised not to touch water (no bath) other than necessary coz water will
not help in curing. The drier the area, better the time of curing.
In first month it was good and he can find there was no much scratching and my
pappa was very relieved. When second course started the scratching become
intolerable and it became severe. The doctor told him that the process of blood
purification started and hence this is happening. The next three months it was
horrible. Blisters formed all over where he had eczema and other places also
like on his hand and liquid started oozing out. This was very severe during
night. In this three to four months the sleep has gone for toss, the irritation
was un bearable & intermittent Sleep. When my sister went to the doctor and
asked what is happening, she told the medicine (Allopathy which included
steroids) has gone in to the blood. It needs some time for blood to purify and
it is removing all that toxins and that is why the blisters are forming and the
liquid is coming out. This was the most horrible period. Since he has got eczema
on his arm, hand , it is turned black and he could not touch anything. He was
not able to stand, walk neither sleep coz itching and pain was there. Since my
father was a diabetic I got afraid & went to the doctor screaming. The doctor
pacified me & said that nothing adverse will happen. At last there was some
relief in his next session wherein the blisters reduced and liquid oozing out
sopped and the itching was little ok. Then the following months, it was turning
out better for him. Everything improved. Itching was minimised, the new skin
started growing and he got more or less Ok. He is still under treatment but
there is no itching, no soreness of the skin. The treatment as per the doctor
will get over in other month, which included all the final correction in terms
of his eczema. Now everybody is happy in my home.
I got to observe few things during this period. The cause of eczema though not
known, it can get irritated when in contact with water, detergent, dust and
mood. Any one of these can be major irritant. It is better to get it cured in
the initial stages without neglecting. Ayurveda definitely has a best medicine
provided you go the qualified practioner. Use Vaseline body lotion instead of
water ( I am not propagating the company) it really really works. I have already
empties around 150 Bottles of Vaseline Body lotion.
I must definitely thank Dr.Vedavathy for hearing my fathers non stop complaints
(Coz he was suffering very badly) and gave her valuable suggestions and a very
good treatment with which my pappa now is out of that hell. Thanks a ton.
