I am your mother's age and I too am very active so I can relate to her. poor
woman although I have had skin troubles they are not so bad as hers. However at
one stage it got pretty bad.
1) obviously plenty of clear water I get mine form local spring. no
added chemicals.
2)Lots of home made juice made from local herbs such as dandelion,
ribwort, chickweed. fruit
3) DAILY SMOOTHIE MADE WITH yoghurt (organic preferably) with added
flax seed oil and loads of soft fruit in it I use frozen raspberries and blue
berries or black currants.
4)Camomile tea - hot at first and then drink the rest cold...
soothing to bed time
5) I don't know what she can stand to have applied to the skin but I
just use almond oil or olive - and sometimes make a lotion shaking it up with
Orange Flower Water into an emulsion. Some say Calendula cream is good.
6) She might try eating for her Blood Type. Google to find out more
about it. I am group O positive and have given up wheat
Find out what her blood type is and look it up I think it
helps but may take a bit of getting used to. I was willing to try anything at
all!
7) Cut out coffee and soda drinks and of course no diet drinks at
all and one alcoholic drink only. Teaspoon of cod liver oil is cheap wee of
getting vit D and A which I do.
8) Look up the side effects of any medications she may be having
I found that statins and ace inhibitors and aspirin were bad for my
skin.....however I did have the odd anti histamine to help me sleep and help the
itching a bit. Nothing with aspartame in it...no chewing gum and read all
labels... as it is in a lot of things now.
9) Just a little sunbathing - ten minutes a day would be OK for vitamin
DO.
10 I went to a qualified Herbalist who made me a mixture which I think helped a
lot.
Try and get into the sea if that is possible - the salt will sting a bit
but the magnesium is good. Shower afterwards.

I am almost clear now - it pops back again but only mildly
compared with what to it was a few months ago.
i hope you are able to find a regime which will bring relief. Knd
regards JAN

Subject: [eczemapsoriasis] Help my MOM!

HI
My Mom is a VERY active woman (70) who is starting to give in to the
horrible eczema that covers her body. I will describe it to you..it
looks like large circular raised red sores, with a scab on top,
covering arms, legs, feet, back, buttocks. She has had this for 8
years now, not knowing what brought it on, but it is getting worse.
They look horrible so she has to keep her arms and legs covered, even
in the hot weather, or people will be horrified to see it!
The sores are so itchy that she is constantly scratching them as she
says the only relief is when the scab is picked off. Her bed is
covered with blood each morning and she is unable to sleep due to the
severe itching. Right now, the bottoms of her feet are so sore that
she can barely walk.
Luckily.. until now.. the sores have not shown up on her face.
However, she has just informed me that she now has 3 on her face and
that if they cover her face she may not have the strength to go on..
This has me very worried. Her quality of life is being affected.
She has tried everything.. and spends hundreds of dollars a month on
cortizone creams, etc., done the UV exposure, pregnizone, natural
method, diet, and nothing seems to help.
Does this sound similar to anyone else's problems? I really want to
help her get some relief!!
If you have any advice or treatment (that is not a money grabbing
scam), or have something that sounds the same, I'll love to hear from
you. I really want to help my MOM.
Thanks
