PPD Poisoning - Severe Dermatitis - HELP!   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #6966 of 7450 |
About a month ago I had a severe reaction to an ingredient in hair
dye - PPD, and my life has been hell since then. A few hours after
getting my hair done, my scalp swelled up and turned bright red. I
ached so bad I couldn't sleep more than two hours for the next 3
nights. Down to my neck was covered with blisters and yellowish
crusty puss. It was a continuous ache with no relief no matter how
much I tossed and turned. Even my ears were infected and ringing non
stop. Not much later, I noticed my entire body was erupting into a
flaky, scaly rash. It took all the self discipline I could muster up
not to tare myself up in my sleep (or lack of it). Over the counter
creams only irritiated it, and prescription steroids hurt my skin
more than the sores. It was then I began the quest to get my body
back through natural healing.
I'm a non smoker, social drinker, and been vegetarian for years. I'm
not the type to be wreckless about my health, but I never imagined
something like this could happen from hair color. I started Dr.
Schulze Liver Cleanse, adding cayenne and lemonade from The Master
Cleanse program, and I've done sessions of hydro colon therapy and q-
bath. I've used apple cider vinegar, olive oil and coconut oil as
topical ointments. Last week I converted to the raw foods program to
help the detox process. It's a constant battle, and I feel like I'm
fighting for my body (and mind) every day. I considered the
conventional route, but after careful research I realized they can
only subdue symptoms and give side effects, and medicine offers no
real cure. Fortunately, I haven't noticed being cross-sensitized to
anything. If anyone has any information, advice or experience to
share, it would mean a lot to me.

Thank you all for your time and caring, Joanna.
