I am doing the diet, and my skin has improved.
My condition was horrendous I was in constant irritation, bleeding and flaking
everywhere. In 2005 I started using a lotion called Aurasoothe, it really
helped a lot, in fact I became about 99% clear. I stopped using it and 4 months
later my skin problem came back but not nearly as bad as I was eating healthy
foods and exercising a lot.
Then I tried Pagon's Diet with vitamins and my skin started to improve again. I
even started swimming. However I started eating dairy foods, and all the other
stuff which is not good for psoriasis suffers and the problems started to come
back.
So again I'm back on the diet and using Aurasoothe and my skin is starting to
improve. I intend to use the lotion as a catalysis (it has tar solution in it,
which is reportedly not good for your body) and then make the diet my lifestyle
as it is summer now and I really want to wear t-shirts and shorts without the
embarrassment.
That's what has worked for me so far.

Nat

I am new to the group and am sure there must be someone out there who
is suffering as seriously as I.
I've had psoriasis since 1986... each year it spreads further and
further across the body. By 1992 it was appearing on the legs, but
not the arms. By 1997 it was appearing on the arms and legs (thighs
mostly), but wasn't covering the massive territory it is now. By 2002
it had completely covered the backs of my hands (not the palms) and
now it has nearly completely covered the arms, legs and thighs, on
the body's rear area and is attempting to cross over to the chest and
shoulders (that have fortunately remained clear, until now, along
with the clear face).
What's a body to do ? I am considering Dr Pagano's severe diet, but
it appears impossible to maintain. I must do something fast, since I
am a virtual basket case. I have to use tinted zinc oxide when I go
to work. No one there has a clue, but if I didn't cover the backs of
the hands each morning, I would cause others to shriek.
Has any one had success with Pagano's regime ? I am going to give up
the sugars, gluten, pasta, bread, wheat, nightshades, meats and
certain starchy veggies, but I wonder if that would really do the
trick. I realize that it will take months just to see any progress,
but at this point, I am willing to try. If I was ever to be seen
without my long sleeved shirts, long pants and tinted zinc oxide, I
would frighten folks more severly than the Georgia Attorney who
travelled on the airline infected with TB.
Can anyone suggest some ways through this jungle ? I realize what I
have is probably from inherited genes, since my mother suffered from
all sorts of skin diseases. However, there must be some way I can get
the message to my immune system that I intend the body no harm, so
stop the T-Cell attack.
Thanks to you all...
