Re: [eczemapsoriasis] restricted diet made me worse !

Well done, most people would have given up!

I have read that both (white short grain ) rice and cereal must be avoided when
curing yourself of psoriasis.
I love pork, and most people will tell you to avoid it without a real reason why
apart from it makes you itch. But if you think about it, the food they eat is
probably wheat or corn powder (meal?) or possibly a combination. Also most pigs
are grown inside a cage, they can only just lay down (pregnant pigs) can't turn
around. I know pigs will eat almost anything, dead decaying animals, old food
etc, so for a start we are eating pork meat that has been grown with food which
is not healthy for psoriasis suffers.

All the best,

Nat

lived in Hawaii during my 20's. I think the miracle cure at that time
was sun, salt water, and general happiness. Recently the condition
worsened so I went to a naturopath md who has cured herself of 30
years of eczema via diet and supplements. To prepare for this, I quit
smoking and began to drop gluten foods, sugar, alcohol, etc. The md
put me on a very strict diet of no sugars, no fruit (except
blueberries, thank god!) no soy, beef, nuts, eggs, dairy,
nightshades. All I can eat is rice, a few other grains, veggies,
fish, poultry. And nothing but water to drink.

So, I started each day with rice cereal, blue berries, cinnamon and
coconut oil, and I ended the day with the same thing, my "treat" so
to speak. And I stuck to the diet for 2 weeks, but I itched and
scratched a great deal, especially at bed time, upon waking, and mid
morning.

Long story short, I finally realized that I am allergic to rice !!!

Moral of the story: we must test each food individually.

I continue on the diet, substituting quinoa for rice, wondering what
the next discovery will be, and praying that I am on the path to my
own cure.
