While this angle is interesting and quite an eye-opener it represents an "all or
none" phenomena which is dangerous. Given the autoimmune nature of psoriasis it
is only common sense to do things to increase the strenght of ones' immune
system. Therefore, I believe the strongest solution is to mix diet with
supplements. For example, I take ProvexPlus, a strong bioflavinoid with the
majority component grapeseed/skin that has not gone any fermintation. This has
done wonders for all of my autoimmune conditions. In addition, I do eat pure
foods - non-processed foods. However, I must stress the need for nutritional
suppliments to strengthen the immune system.
What was not addressed, and is equally as important, is lessening the load on
the immune system. Nutritionally that means avoiding processed foods that are
laiden with chemical preservatives and additives. Care must be taken not to put
toxic household chemicals on your skin - our largest organ. Particularly laundry
products!! Again, I use Melapower which is free of toxic chemicals. The
difference is tremendous.
Lastly, don't forget to nourish our skin - regulary. I use lotion that
penetrates the epidermis to the dermis where healing and nourishment take place
from the inside to the outside.
Let me know if more information is needed. I'm master's prepared in nursing
and offer the best of science and nature!
