What are the doctors wanting, specifically? Why do they feel the need
to change? PACS/reporting systems are supposed to be workflow enhancing
products, so you need to be very clear about your volume, site
requirements, etc., when looking at them. Don't let salesmen romance
you out of your own requirements.
Each of the systems you'd mentioned has strengths - they're certainly
not junk (there are some systems out there that are, in fact, junk.
Beware!). ProSolv has always been very strong in calculations;
particularly in customization and flexibility; is this what your doctors
want?
One other thing that may be worth considering: Fuji recently bought
ProSolv, and is investing a lot of time, money and talent into
developing and supporting it. Support and development are very, very
important considerations in buying PACS/reporting systems. I know of at
least one system (I'll not name it) that'd be a very good product if not
for serious problems in this area.

Subject: [echocardiography] Prosolve software
Our practice is looking to change our reporting package. We have
acquired 2 new offices and need to have the same reports generated
from all 4 offices. The Docs are looking at "Prosolve". I have never
heard of this reporting software and am asking the group for
information. Does anyone out there use this program and what's it all
about? The system we use in this office has been Freeland. It's been
great and I am not happy about changing. So any info would be most
appreciated.
Thank you,
