RE: [echocardiography] Animal Cardiac Imaging

My experience  is with  the  new  GE  Vingmed Vivid  7.  Currently I'm doing echoes on newborn piglets, last year I did some on miniature pig fetuses. Using the 10 MHz transducer. An excellent tool! Amazing detail. Far more user friendly than  the old Vivid  5. You should give it a try.

Any ultrasound researchers with animal lab experience?
Looking for recommendations for good vendor of high frequency,
high frame rate ultrasound machines to use for cardiac imaging
in dogs, rats/mice, etc. Any experience/recommendations appreciated.

Hey Tim, it depends on your budget, of course. My first best recommendation would be a Sonos 5500 with an s3 or an s4 probe (for large dogs), s8 (small dogs),...
