I'm using a GE Vivid e unit and am very mobile and perform echos on mostly
elderly people--have trouble moving , heavy smokers, etc. I make CDs and send
them to a Cardiologist in Chicago-DICOM format.
I learned on a large Phillips unit and basically worked with it for 3 yrs. The
reading Cardiologist at times has some issues with me, basically for the
sharpness of 2-D and spectral doppler. I have the manuals, books, taken the
unit home and tried everthing I can think of--even called the service line
several times.
I would think that a unit that weighs 12 lbs just doesn't have the "something"
that a standard large unit has. What does the Vivid e lack---or is it just me.
thanks
