Mark,
Thanks so much. Excuse my CFS mind but I could not understand one thing clearly.
If there are lines in the wall but nothing is plugged in,would it still generate
EMF?
Thanks

According to "the experts", it should be unplugged, but going by my own
reactions (which I would trust more than some "expert" who's never had
ES), TV's seem harmless when the standby button is pushed. But to be
safe, I would keep it as far away from you as possible while you're
sleeping.

The electric lines always generate EMF, unless you have a switch that shuts
off the connection to the fusebox. According to my EMF meters, the levels
increase with the more things you have plugged into the circuit, and the
more things which are using electricity.

Interesting -- never heard of these before.
By the way, in the group's links section, I just added a folder for
"EMF Protection Devices". So if there are any devices like this that
any group member feels comfortable about recommending, please add a
bookmark to this folder with a short description.

(and certainly don't feel obliged to add a link to a product which
has NOT been of help to you!)
Thanks!

Hello,
a lot of discussion is going on about things that help.
A lot of them do have certain symbols incorporated in them.
With the electrosmog, we have transversal waves, which we can
measure and which we can shield ourselves from (more or less).
Aside to those, we have longitudinal waves. Nikola Tesla, the
inventor of the alternating current, has described them more than
100 years ago, but till today, we do not have measuring equipment to
prove that they exist.
However, by means of electroacupuncture, one can see, that the
influence of those longitudinal waves is there.
A lot of *things*, or chips do have a certain shielding effect,
realy more an absorbing of those longitudinal waves, which in
reality occur, but are not measurable with contemporary measuring
equipment.
However, an electrosensitive person can feel its working.
I have good experience with the BioProtect card, which is the size
of a credit card and costs only 21 Euro, or dollars. For a mobile
phone it costs only 4 Euro. See: www.bioprotect.de.vu
I have also found, that certain devices which contain f.i. cristals,
may absorb the electrosmog, and after a while start emitting them,
like the american BioElectrical shield.
I have found, that placing such a device on a Purple Plate for three
days, this device is cleaned and works again very fine.
Certain cristals, like turmaline, can help with a computer monitor.
Although a LCD monitor gives less electrosmog than a CRT monitor,
electrosensitive people may have problems with them also.
It has also to do with the flickering of the image. Our eyes absorb
all those flickerings. Our brain process works in chaos. The
flickering makes this process in a certain order, and that is why we
have problems after a while.
Be aware that the computer monitor is the only electrical apparatus,
where there are radiation regulations for. According the TCO or MPR
II. Not for TV's, radios, electrical clocks, coffee machines, etc.

> I have a TV very close to my head. I am wondering if it would be
okay if I shut-off the stand-by button when I go to sleep or do I

Hello Nil,
one should always keep a distance to a TV set, minimal 2,5 meter.
It is very bed in having a TV close to the head.
Stand-by positions should be avoided. It is best to unplug the TV.
Electrical apparatus and electrical cables do NOT belong in a
bedroom.
> Also would electric lines inside the house walls generate EMF if
there is no device working on them?
>
On all electrical lines, when there is a current on it, is an
electrical alternating field. As soon as the the current is flowing
through this line, when a device is working, a magnetic alternating
field is there also.
It astonisches a lot of people to see, that the electrical
alternating field strength of a desk-lamp may be much greater when
the lamp is out, than when it is running. Just turning the plug in
the wallsocket upside-down diminishes this field.
Mostly, halfway the cable, there is a switch, but only one part of
the double cable is disconnected.
The plus goes through the other, not separated cable part, through
the lamp, and back to the switch, and the current ends there.
By turning the plug upside-down, the plus goes till the switch, and
not any further. I hope that you understand this.
This does not go for the plugs who have a three-pin bracket.
Here in Europe, we do have a lot of so-called Eurosteckers, which do
have only two-pins.
So, it is best, for unplugging all you do not need.

Dear All
I had better make it clear from the start that I have a finacial
interest in this topic! I suffered from es and when using mobile
phones I had severe headaches, hot ear, others I have helped have had
skin rashes and nose bleeds. I was involved with working with
computers since 1980, I was an IT teacher! But working computers for
more than a few minutes became impossible. I was also overcoming
major problems from a traffic accident when my sensitivity flared up.
I resigned from my post - there were other complications associated
with the accident that forced this, PTSD mainly.
BUT I found something that worked for me and was so impressed became
a distributor for the products and now find fellow sufferers to help
spread the good news. However, a word of warning these things may not
work for everyone and so everything I promote comes with a 100% money
back guarantee if they have not helped anyone trying them then for up
to 3 months from purchase they can have a full refund. Sales pitch
over!
The Devices are based on Professor Danev's work in bio resonance I
have a small device that is self adhesive for mobile phones -
Biophone- and a larger pendant or lapel badge -Bioguard- that I find
really useful as it appears to give me protection from my probs with
es.
I am not trying to sell these things to anyone just to let you know
that they have helped me and a number of fellow sufferers. A useful
web site http://www.radiationresearch.org might be of interest to
others in the group, every product that is sold by me has a £1
donation to this charity.
I am now able to work with computers, go into supermarkets with strip
lights, use a mobile phone and not feel totally drained or worse. If
you are interested in finding out more see http://www.magnatech.ik.com
If anyone would like me to send further information then please drop
me an email with return address.
My life has now returned to what passes as normal and if I can help
others then it makes each day worthwhile.
All the best to all readers.
Yours
Ian

I'm curious -- are the monitors sold at this company really any better than
an LCD monitor you would buy at the local computer store? By "better", I
mean less problematic for someone with ES?
I remember several years ago this company was selling LCD monitors that
were 13", monochrome, and didn't have any LCD backlight. Looks like times
have changed....
Marc
Hello everyone,
I just joined the group and have already learned a lot from reviewing
the archives.
Like many list members, I developed ES after years of working on a
computer all day. My ES has spread to power lines, phones, most cars,
etc., and to chemical sensitivity.
I now use an LCD monitor specially shileded for ES by
wwww.milligauss.com.
I'm looking forward to participating in group discussion

I am not sure Marc,
It has been about a week since I started the therapy. I am afraid it might take
some time for the adverse effects to be observable if there are any.

Yes, I'm a bit surprised -- I must have advertised in the right places.
:-)
There have been attempts at ES lists on YahooGroups in the past.
Usually,
nobody subscribes, and nobody posts. So the difference with this group
is purely advertising.
> I am writing from a 5 meters distance from the computer, looking through

I never thought of this... I did once think that I should buy one of
those LCD projectors, and I also tried to use the computer with a pillow
case over my head (with holes cut out for my eyes), so I looked like
a ghost... :-)
But as soon as I found an EMF device that worked for me, out went all
the shielding, the LCD monitor, etc. Back to my old 19" CRT.
I did however keep it about 2 feet away from me, and I ran it
at 800x600 resolution instead of 1024x768, as my sensitivity to the
monitor changes with the resolution and refresh rate (which is rather
interesting by itself).
> My main problem is where to live. Next week I should be making decisions.

I really think you might benefit from some sort of EMF protection
device. One that neutralizes everything in the house. A Springlife
polarizer on the fuse box, or a Quantum Home should overcome anything
that's coming in from the outside. For example, I know that simply
plugging in a Quantum power strip in my den eliminated all my problems
with the power lines outside on the street. However, if you try
that Quantum Byte software and notice nothing at all, then don't
bother with the Quantum stuff -- all of their products produce
the same effect.
> Anyway, I now don't have amalgams at all (for years back),

The problem is that the body often doesn't let the mercury go,
so it just stays stuck in your brain or your nervous system. You
often need to take something to get it moving out of your system.
Or in my case, certain EMF protection devices seem to get it moving
all by themselves!

Actually, copper is interesting to me as well. I had a naturapath
do a hair mineral analysis on me several years ago. My mercury
readings were high, but not terribly so. My copper readings
however were off the scale -- like 100 times above normal! Of
course, the doctor concluded that the test results must be wrong,
but I always wondered... maybe the test results were right,
as indeed copper would make me a great conductor of electricity!
Of course, if you read books on mercury poisoning, you will find
something called mercury-induced copper toxicity. So it all
could be related -- or not!
Marc
Hi Marc, and the rest of the company! There are already 30 people on the list!?
! am very glad there is such a list finally, thanking to your kind engagement!
When I developed (or became aware of?) ES, it was 1996., things were in a way
different than today... The most information circulated through Mr. Roy Beaver's
EMF list, and there were many enthusiasts at his mist, one of them was Mr. Don
Maisch, who now maintains the list where we came from. The people associated
with www.feb.se were also rather active in those years, and they still are.
There also was some Electrosensitivity Network (ESN) maintained by Lucinda
Grant, but she was available only by written letters. She edited a small
newsletter, and kept a record of addresses etc. Somebody (me for example) should
write to her, telling about this initiative with this list, and letting us know
what she is doing now...
It is interesting that from that time still has been no much advance towards
recognition and understanding of ES from the side of the official science, so we
are on our own. (The consequence is not only that we are lacking support, but
also that we are sometimes getting a false "support"... It is not easy for
anybody of us alone to distinguish between real things and hoaxes.) So it is
invaluable for us to exchange experiences this way.
I am writing from a 5 meters distance from the computer, looking through
binoculars. I am wearing a Neutralizer (one of the "miraculous" devices, that I
have done double blind tests with, so I am positive it works to some extent). I
also have a metal shield between, so all that helps me stay hours at the
computer, while without such measures I am unable to stay more than 10 minutes.
I share most of Marc's views, just for the slight difference that I keep
doubting everything I hear, and prefer to understand, so I keep seeking
scientific approach, although I am completely aware that the classic science has
failed at this issue.
I have meters (www.electrosmog.com) that I find useful for some estimation, but
they don't always fully match the symptoms.
I am highly interested in what exactly of the parameters regarding electricity
is really relevant for disturbing us?? The strength alone says almost nothing,
as, for example, I never had any discomfort using standard (strong) cordless
(47 MHz) phone, while I simply can't talk by a cellular (GSM) longer than a
minute or two. That was my question from very beginning, as I don't know what to
measure and what to avoid until I am positive that I do feel it, but it is
always not so easy to establish.
My main problem is where to live. Next week I should be making decisions. I am
very sensitive, and I need to avoid any visible mobile phone antenna, and also
proximity to street electrical lines. Fortunately, I am not working at the
office, but my daughters have to go to school, so this is a difficult problem -
I can't go to a mountain. Might be that Charles would have some advice for me,
as he mentioned that he works on home protection?
I have had my many heavy amalgams removed from 1995., and it could be, that I
developed ES after the removal, as they were removed deliberately spraying dust
all over the mouth. It is also possible that not all of it was removed. Anyway,
I now don't have amalgams at all (for years back), but some residue could have
been impregnated into the teeth. As most of the electrosensitive people I am
also MCS (chemically sensitive). I also have CFS (chronic deficit of immunity)
but I keep it under control more or less.
I am looking forward to future correspondence!
Drasko
PS I suggest that we make a list of www references and files that are useful for
the issue!

Julie, you sound like I was a few years ago. Couldn't stand being
in the building I worked in. Couldn't concentrate in front of a
computer. Had to get in and out of stores as quickly as possible
because of all of the florescent lights. I never correlated my symptoms
to cell phone towers, but I know they are all around.
For me, I've tried a lot of things, but basically the things which
were of obvious help to me were (and still are):
* FOOD: I found that eating small quantities of food frequently
throughout the day helped keep my strength up. Not just any
old junk food, but healthy food (which I buy at a health food
store, so it is organic and preferably raw). Eating an avacado
or a few almonds really helps me. Also mejool dates and
freshly juiced carrot juice. Also plenty of digestable protein
sources, which for me are mostly rice, beans, and "california
suncakes" :-) I've found a few foods which make my sensitivities
worse -- specifically oranges and sea salt.
* SUPPLEMENTS: I never had any luck with vitamin and mineral
pills, but there are still some supplements which I've found
helpful. Interestingly, most of them contain some sort of
sea vegetation, which is supposed to help detoxify the body
from heavy metals and radiation. An MLM product called
"Sea Energy" helps increase my tolerance for EMF. Also
a green superfood product called "Vitamineral Green". A
probiotic called "Primal Defense". An antioxidant called
"Active H". A mercury chelator called "NDF". I've had
some supplements make my sensitivities worse, like pure
chlorella & spirulina capsules/tablets. I think this may
be due to either contamination from heavy metals, or overdoing
it in terms of detoxification.
* EMF PROTECTION DEVICES: I never had any luck with shielding,
and avoidance is impossible in my workplace. However, I've
had great results from strange EMF protection devices that
offer no scientific explanation for how they work. Unfortunately,
I've only had good luck with about 1 device in every 10 I've
tried, so it's been a real trial & error. My favorite devices
right now are Springlife Polarizers from Bioharmonics.com .
http://products.bioharmonics.com/polarizers/polmodels.htm
Currently I wear an OM pendant in my pants pocket while I'm
awake, and have a Slimline model behind my computer at work
and at home. It makes a huge difference.
Also, one thing you can download and try immediately and for
free trial is a piece of Windows software called "the Quantum
Byte":
http://www.quantumproducts.com/catalog/quantum_byte.html
As a "computer person", I realize that it sounds ridiculous
that a piece of software could do anything to the EMF produced
by a computer, but as an "electrically sensitive" person, I
noticed the difference pretty quickly. It's not as strong
as the Springlife Polarizers, but it's something worth
trying.

Further looking at the website you mentioned gives the following.
This Vita-Life system is NOT a bioresonance system according to Rife
or Clark, where a frequency generator give certain frequencies to
the body.
Vita-Life is just a only magnetic system. They can work perfectly
for normal people who may have a tennis-arm as an example.
But, electrosensitive people should avoid everything that is
magnetic, whether it is a magnetic alternating field or a magnetic
static filed.
So, my advice with this Vita-Life system is that you use it
carefully.
Electrosentive people in Germany and Switserland avoid it completely.
A Bioresonace system like f.i. the QXCI works quite well for
electrosensive people, and give improvement.
Charles Claessens
> I have mercury poisoning and amalgams in mouth and I am wondering
if electro magnetic therapies like QRS can have any adverse effects
on my body.
Hello Nil,
bioresonace equipment does not have any adverse effects on the body.
On the contrary.
About mercury poisoning and amalgams, please see my other posting.
Charles Claessens
Hello Julie Hartinger,
most (not all) electrosensitivity starts with the highfrequency
radiation, from mobile phones etc. If you do not take measures in
shielding, especially the bedroom, this electrosensitivity grows.
Than at a certain moment it seems that it lessens, but than your
electrosensitivity reacts to low frequency radiation.
Low frequency radiation comes from all electricity from your
wallsocket and powerlines and railways.
The body reacts to all magnetic alternating fields, from the alarm
radio at the bedside, electrical heating blankets, water beds,
electrical adjustable beds, small load-trafos, TL lightings
(especial when they are lowered from the ceiling in supermarkets),
some cash registers, etc.
I know people in Germany who cannot handle any electrical equipment
anymore, whether a TV, or electrical coffee pot, or hi-fi-
installation.
We, as building biologists, say, that the amount of allowable high
frequency radiation is for living/working rooms max 100 uW/m2 (micro
Watt per square meter) and for bedrooms between max 0.1 and 1 uW/m2.
Especial the bedroom is important. If you are successful in
shiedling the bedroom in such a way, your immune system can resist
better the daily radiation on the streets.
When wounded people are transported by 911 rescue, they have often
those *thermal blankets* around them, which you can buy at comping
stores.
One side is golden and the other side looks silver.
These blankets, you may place against your bedroom curtains with
double adhesive tape, and place them with the silver side outside
for you bedroom windows, because they are the weakest spots in house.
That is the first easy step in shielding against HF radiation of
mobile phone masts.
Charles Claessens
Hello,
the influence of elektrosmog changes the chemical contenst of the
filling in suvh a wau that the mercury comes free in a much faster
way than normal.
It is very important in detoxifying the body.
Before, while and after the removal of the fillings.
Chlorella and koriander are good help in this process.
The removal of the amalgam fillings must be done very carefully.
EVERYTHING must be removed, and not one grain should be left, or
inhaled.
If this is not done correctly, many people have become
electrosensitive because of this. Or their electrosensitivity has
worsened.
So the dentist has to be chosen carefully, and the de-poisening
measures taken in time.
Charles Claessens
Dear Marc,
What a pleasant surprise, to find this new list.
I have been searching for one as well, but agree with you, that
electrosensitive persons computer problems is an obstacle.
I am EHS (Electrohypersensitive) and heavy metal/amalgam poisoned
also. I am heavily copper- besides the mercury-poisoning, and copper
is interesting, when considering EHS and EMF-EMR (Electromagnetic
Fields and Radiation) due to the very high conductivity of this
metal. This causes the electrons to move readily when exposed to
external fields, and internal fields and currents will be produced.
Increased free radical activity is associated with this leading to
degenerative conditions.
Best wishes,
Nikolaj Holtermann in Copenhagen, Denmark
Hi all,
Boy, for a electrical sensitivity list, we're sure seeing a lot of mercury
poisoning posts here!
Note that there's a pretty good list for dealing with mercury poisoning here:
http://www.cfsn.com/metlist.html
It's interesting that a number of people on this list have electrical
sensitivity, which seems to be further evidence that there is a connection
between electrical sensitivity and mercury poisoning.
(and if anyone is interested in downloading the complete archives from that
list, you will find LOTS of my comments about all the EMF protection
devices I've tried over the past 3 years!)
Marc
Hi all,
I guess before we get too far, I should tell my own story. I've been a
heavy user of computers since 1985. Essentially, I've spent 40 hours/week
in front of them since then, and in the early 1990's I bought a home
computer, which just added to my exposure.
In 1999, I got some sort of chronic "flu" which refused to go away. The
doctors kept giving me more & more antibiotics, and at some point it became
obvious that the antibiotics were doing more harm than good, in that I
started getting environmental sensitivities and symptoms of a body-wide
fungal infection. I also became less and less tolerant of my workplace, in
that I became exhausted by the end of the day/end of the week.
After figuring out that computers & florescent lights were my problem, I
initially tried all the conventional solutions. I bought a glass EMF
shield for my monitor. I used an EMF meter to minimize my exposure. I
experimented with a variety of EMF shielding materials. I bought an LCD
monitor. None of this helped enough to make any difference.
Meanwhile, my overall health was terrible -- I was diagnosed with chronic
fatigue syndrome. My immune system was obviously not working, as I caught
every illness going around. I needed tons of sleep. I eventually got fed
up with conventional medicine and switched to alternative medicine. I also
started cleaning up my diet, switching from my old junk foods to more
organic, raw fruits and vegetables. I became a vegetarian.
A naturapath tested me for high levels of mercury in my system. I bought a
bunch of books on mercury poisoning, and one of them listed as one of the
many symptoms as being a hypersensitivity to electricity. This book said
that these symptoms would eventually go away if I had all of my metal
dental work removed and underwent mercury detoxification.
So I had my fillings out. Amazingly, a lot of my health complaints
disappeared that day, but the electrical sensitivity remained. And if
anything, it was worse than ever, as I could now only tolerate sitting in
front of my 15" LCD screen for 5 minutes at a time, using a regular corded
phone hurt my head, and I was bothered by the electricity inside the walls
if I stood up against them.
So, the next step was mercury detox. I went through a lot of "NDF", which
supposedly detoxed mercury gently with chlorella and cilantro. Also, at
about the same time, I saw a doctor who recommended that I try some EMF
protection devices from http://quantumproducts.com, as this doctor had
problems with electricity himself (it's actually amusing -- I've seen so
many health care people in the past few years that I've actually run into 4
of them who are electrically sensitive!)
So I tried a Quantum power strip. On day one, I had a huge surge of
energy! On the subsequent days, I became fatigued, recognizing these
symptoms as being the same detoxification symptoms I got when my fillings
were removed. However, with a few power strips and the Quantum Byte
software, I could finally tolerate my workplace for 4 hours/day, after not
being able to be there for 10 months.
The next 2 years I spent taking lots of supplements for detoxification,
rebuilding various organs which were impacted (adrenals, thyroid, etc.),
experimenting with a lot of EMF protection devices (which by themselves
have provoked much detoxification), and as I made progress, ramping up my
hours at work to fulltime, and ramping up my overall health & immunity back
to normal.
As it stands now, I don't take very many supplements, and the only EMF
protection devices I use now are called "Springlife Polarizers" (bought at
http://bioharmonics.com). I think I'm still in the midst of a longterm
detoxification process, but I think I'm past the hardest parts, as most
people consider me to be completely recovered.
Technically, I'm still electrically sensitive at this point, but the EMF
protection devices I'm using allow me to use a large screen CRT monitors
all day without adverse affect. I suspect that in a few years I won't even
need EMF protection devices at all, although I think it's probably a good
idea to continue using them, as my EMF exposure is definitely *way* above
average.
Marc
I just posted a question at the yahoo group site regarding electric sensitivity. I really need to know what I can do to ease my problems. Here is my history. 2 years ago I found out I have MS, after looking back on my life I believe I had it for many years and ignored many of the symptoms. I am 42 years old now. This is going to sound terrible but when I was a child my older brother had a little glass bottle of mercury. Once, we spilled a little bit out and thought it was neat that it would form into small balls and we couldn't pick it up.....yes, I can't believe that I actually played with mercury.
Now I have many symptoms that are almost making my life unbearable. I am out on medical leave because of my MS but I also think my problems are from the building I work in. I work on the computer all day and there is a cell phone tower on the top of the building. The floors above us are owned by Ameritech and all I know is that there are computers on these floors for the phone company. I will become dizzy just sitting at my desk, get extreme headaches, blurred vision, lack focus mentally and my other MS symptoms seem worse at work. I always feel sick when I am at work. The lighting is florescent too. I also have problems at stores with florescent lighting. I can barely make it through the grocery store without my eyes become sensitive to the lights and getting extreme headaches. I was reading some of the other postings at the site and I probably have fillings with mercury in them too. Please send me any
information you have that will ease these problems I am having. Thank you.

cell phone tower on top of it. I will become dizzy at work just
sitting in my chair, I lack focus, have headaches and I feel as
though my MS symtoms get worse at work. The building has been
checked for emr but we were told "it is within the limits". I would
like any information that would help me with this situation.
Hi Ann,
For some reason, Yahoogroups identified your email as spam, but allowed it
through anyway (??)

One of the theories on electric sensitivity is that it is one of the
numerous symptoms of mercury poisoning. In fact, when I first read this,
the first thing I did was have my 5 remaining mercury fillings (out of the
20 I originally once had) replaced with composites. I even had a porcelain
crown replaced with a metal-free one, as standard crowns often have
aluminum or nickel inside of them.
Prior to my amalgam removal, I read about how having mixed metals in your
mouth can cause a "battery effect", similar to putting a 9-volt battery on
your tongue. After reading that, I became aware that this was going on in
my mouth. I also noticed that it stopped as soon as the mercury fillings
were out of my mouth.
As for metallic taste in my mouth, I've experienced that on many occasions.
If you go through a heavy-metal detoxification program, you'll get used to
it. The taste is probably nothing to worry about, but I'd get the fillings
out by a dentist who can get them out quickly and with minimum exposure to
you while it's happening.

I've spoken with a couple of energy workers in the past few years (e.g.
Reiki Masters, Reconnective Healing Practitioners), and I've heard more
than one person comment about them causing electronics to malfunction like
this. I've never noticed this capability in myself though. It's probably
a good thing you didn't mention that to your dentist... :-)

I don't know anything about this particular machine, but that web page
makes it sound like it's producing *beneficial* radiation, which of course
does exist (e.g, far-infrared). Are you noticing adverse symptoms from
using this machine?

Hi all,
This message was sent to me, but I think it was meant to go to the group
(eSens@yahoogroups.com):

Not sure if this is the right address to introduce myself on. Anyway, I was
interested to read a snippet of your story posted to the emfacts group. I
support your comments about the rights of the electrically hypersensitive to
lead a 'normal' life and think that those who create the environments that
aggravate this condition are responsible for rectifying the associated
problems, rather than those suffering adverse health effects, as it is with any
other sort of pollution (officially). I do not classify myself as electrically
hypersensitive, however after reading about people suffering from 'VDT
syndrome', I identified with several symptoms suffered by others. When I was a
student and I occasionally spent extended lengths of time in front of a
computer, I used to think that my skin was being burnt by UV radiation being
emitted from CRT screens (like sunburn), but now I have slightly different
suspicions about the effect. I currently often feel drained of energy under
fluorescent lighting or in front of a CRT screen for extended periods and I
have a mild facial skin rash above my lip that seems to improve with a
reduction in exposure. I also get a redness on the top of my hands. I am very
interested to hear what you have tried and what worked for you, as I feel
electrically hypersensitive people are the only relevant 'guinea pigs' for any
experiment in this area (though I realise the horrible ramifications of this
statement, I am speaking from an inhuman scientific perspective). I look
forward to hearing more. Regards,

Hi,
I just had an amalgum filling replaced next to an older one and am
getting mild shocks along the seams of the fillings along with a
metallic taste in my mouth. I am also worried, now, about mercury
poisoning and have an appointment in 2 weeks to have the amalgum
replaced with a composite. Has anyone else had any similar
experiences? I am also sensitive to electromagnetism, and was
wondering if this is part of the reason for the galvanic reaction (as
my dentist said it was very rare). I don't know much about electrical
sensitivity, and want to learn all I can. Wondering if it has anything
to do with too much acidity in your system. That could explain a few
things, I suppose, but then I'm only speculating on account of the
tooth shocks. Electronic equipment seems to malfunction more often
with me than anyone else I know, too, and I seem to blow light bulbs
if I'm under a lot of stress, things like that. It's not something I
feel comfortable telling anyone about, though, especially my dentist.
I'm glad someone started this forum.
Thanks,
Ann
Hi all,
I've created this group because I don't know of any active discussion
group specifically for people suffering from electrical hypersensitivity.
I suppose this is because those who are most afflicted cannot use the
computer at all. However, for those that can at least use the computer a
little, this group might provide some benefits.
(one idea -- printing out messages of interest and and reading the
printouts is a good alternative to reading the messages on the computer
screen)
Another reason for creating this list is that I'm dismayed by much of the
material on electrical hypersensitivity that's out there on the web.
Virtually all of it states that there is no way to recover, and that the
only solution is to avoid EMF sources. I know from personal experience
that this is false. There *are* things you can do to improve your
tolerance for EMF, and people *have* recovered from this. And that's the
purpose of this group -- to share what you've found that works and
doesn't work, because if it works for one person, it might work for
others (although not neccessarily)
