Lately I've been experiencing "burning face"; it's not really a "burning", but
more like a sensation that's similar, but not "hot" feeling, kind of, but not
very, tingly. It only happens on the left side of the face. I seem to notice
it most when I'm on this computer for a long time, but not always.
It could be unrelated to that because it's not consistent, but since it's
something I'm sure some of you have experienced to varying degrees, it would be
nice to hear of anything you've had success with for alleviating it.
I'm currently taking up to 4 or 5 grams of Vit. C a day (though I don't know if
it's food-source vitamin C), a B-Complex, sometimes Calcium/Magnesium, or a full
spectrum Mineral formula (NOW brand)...occasionally Vitamin D, sometimes Purica
Recovery or Cissus RX for joint issues. I can't say any of these cause
noticeable aggravation.
Any thoughts, I'd be happy to hear of them. Antioxidants (more powerful ones)
come to mind, but I'm not sure...

Yes, Niacin in a strong B 100, or by itself can give you a burning red face and
ears.
I think good fats, Krill, Phosphatidyl Choline, and other cell wall
protectors help me with the burning. Burning skin is one of my main
symptoms (in addition to headaches and mood) and usually can track the
efficacy of a product by it.
Good luck and let me know if you find anything.
In the past, I have wondered if it is related to the histamine reaction
caused by aluminum. My aluminum is much lower now but still have
symptoms.

I wouldn't rule out the computer. My wife has burning face when exposed to
computers, cell phones, microwaves, speed radar cameras (thank you, Arizona
Storm Troopers) and satellite dishes. Avoidance is very effective along with
proper supplements. And avoid Direct TV. To cancel their service, they have no
sympathy for the illness they cause and they charge an ungodly amount to cancel!

Aye...I am a bit irregular when it comes to taking supplements, so it's
difficult for me to determine, but I'll give a go to it and see if I notice
something. I used to take essential fatty acids on a regular basis but haven't
recently. I eat sardines and salmon each week, though. Argh, everything costs
so much.

First you should rule out that the "burning face" isn't being
caused by one of the supplements you are taking!
After that, I'd look into adding antioxidants, essential fatty
acids, and skin lotion.

Hmm, I hadn't considered that. I've been taking B-complex because I assumed it
would be helpful for my nervous system. This one says: Niacinamide: 50 mg.
Ha, don't worry about TV; I haven't watched it in years! Okay, maybe once when I
took care of someone's house for a weekend and they have 900 channels on
satellite. Frankly, I was insulted by the amount of garbage on most of the
channels!
Yeah, I definitely have plans to try replacing this PC with a small battery
powered netbook and change the way the modem and router are powered - in due
time! If I had the funds I'd have made so many changes already. Try not to hang
around on this thing too much, but this is a time where information is useful.

i have face burning with all that Mike mentioned his wife has problems with,
plus a few things. but i do not always experience the burning. how much and
what i am detoxing makes it worse--it can make me very much worse. also which
supplements i am taking (or foods i have eaten) can make me better or worse.
B12 helps me personally with the burning. D3 also helps during winter months.
manganese and taurine taken separately with later supplementation of calcium AEP
and pantethine can eliminate all my symptoms as long as i am not hanging out too
long in high emfs. i can't say whether any of these will help others here, but
they do wonders for me. for me, calcium AEP and pantethine (a particular
formulation of B5) have been essential for dealing with ES. also i am actively
"grounding" myself regularly, using soda and epsom salts baths, etc, and i see
help with all these to some degree or else i wouldn't waste my time with them.
exercise is something else i find important for all my ES symptoms. otherwise
my lymphatic system just quits moving (for me, lymphatic congestion leads to all
the ES symptoms).
when i injured my hand recently, i severely damaged 1 of 2 main arteries into my
hand. the surgeon said i would have only 50% blood flow for a year or 2 until my
body managed to "reroute" the blood flow to all parts of my hand again. my hand
was dark coffee colored and very swollen. i began hanging out twice a week at
a riverbank where there are white water rapids. i sit on a rock and dangle my
feet in the water there to ground myself. it has had amazing influence on my
blood flow in my hand and circulation in general! after about 40 mins there, i
can clearly see all the areas where my blood is flowing well, and not so well.
the middle joint of my index finger to the tip is the worst--it actually turns
almost black. after going there 2 times, my color and shape began returning
to my hand. swelling went down and my hand was almost normal size. BUT i was
in horrible pain in the rest of my body because i moved all the crap
out of my hand and arm into the rest of my body, and my lymphatic system was
not handling it effectively enough. (even tho hubby was giving me lymphatic
massage daily). i am recovered now (from the lymphatic backlog--long way to go
yet for my hand) but i am relating how the lymphatics can get overloaded quickly
and it will take awhile to get the crap moved out, during which we will be in
alot of pain--ems, cfs, and fm-wise. there was a lag between getting my
lymphatics congested to cleared out of about a week. it would have been even
longer if i hadn't been exercising and soda bathing regularly, doing the
massage, drinking copious amounts of water, and eating copious fruits (yes, i am
back to eating fruits; i didn't eat fruits for 4 years but i need the extra
fiber) and veggies to get my kidneys and bowels working as hard as they could.
all of these influenced my symptoms. so i am suggesting here that using the
"all the tools
in the shed" approach might also work better for skin burning. try soda soaks,
R! you might like it. work at getting your lymphatic system going as
effectively as possible, too.
my 2 cents. good luck,
diane

Hi everyone,
Lately I've been experiencing "burning face"; it's not really a "burning", but
more like a sensation that's similar, but not "hot" feeling, kind of, but not
very, tingly. It only happens on the left side of the face. I seem to notice it
most when I'm on this computer for a long time, but not always.
It could be unrelated to that because it's not consistent, but since it's
something I'm sure some of you have experienced to varying degrees, it would be
nice to hear of anything you've had success with for alleviating it.
I'm currently taking up to 4 or 5 grams of Vit. C a day (though I don't know
if it's food-source vitamin C), a B-Complex, sometimes Calcium/Magnesium, or a
full spectrum Mineral formula (NOW brand)...occasionally Vitamin D, sometimes
Purica Recovery or Cissus RX for joint issues. I can't say any of these cause
noticeable aggravation.
Any thoughts, I'd be happy to hear of them. Antioxidants (more powerful ones)
come to mind, but I'm not sure...
Thank you!

i have mentioned this before but it isn't necessarily something others would
remember.... i took B12 for years during the day with other vitamins and
noticed no help for my ES symptoms. (i noticed it did help my liver detox
things when i took it during the day.) but i accidently took it before bed one
night (a sublingual form that bypasses the digestive tract) and THAT was when i
began to notice it helped my vibrating at night and skin burning the next day
when i got on the computer, etc. B12 only helps me with these, tho, if i take
it at night.

we all react a bit differently, so you might be ok with it. however, i don't do
well around satellite tv boxes nor the actual dishes themselves. my parents
have this and it bothered me greatly. oddly, tho, it bothers me less now since
the digital conversion! go figure! :) it still bothers me but i can tolerate
the symptoms now. if you know someone who has satellite tv, you might check it
out there before getting it for yourself.

If I can find some B12, I may try it at night; though I don't know how it would
affect my dreams. My mind is rather inventive at times, when I should be
sleeping - well, I am sleeping, but the dreams I have are sometimes rather
bizarre. I don't know if B12 would aggravate that. Have you noticed any such
thing?

hi again, Rticle,
i have mentioned this before but it isn't necessarily something others would
remember.... i took B12 for years during the day with other vitamins and
noticed no help for my ES symptoms.

C a day (though I don't know if
it's food-source vitamin C), a B-Complex, sometimes Calcium/Magnesium, or a full
spectrum Mineral formula (NOW brand)...occasional ly Vitamin D, sometimes Purica
Recovery or Cissus RX for joint issues. I can't say any of these cause
noticeable aggravation.
Any thoughts, I'd be happy to hear of them. Antioxidants (more powerful ones)
come to mind, but I'm not sure...
Thank you!

Hey D., well, I certainly don't like nightmares, and I've had my share. Most of
them are very disjointed, and it's often the "mood" of the dream, rather than
the content alone, that has made them uncomfortable. I don't take any
prescription meds, personally. I'll have a look at those sites, thanks! Good to
hear the B12 doesn't aggravate your dreams.

hi, Loni,
we all react a bit differently, so you might be ok with it. however, i don't do
well around satellite tv boxes nor the actual dishes themselves. my parents
have this and it bothered me greatly. oddly, tho, it bothers me less now since
the digital conversion! go figure! :) it still bothers me but i can tolerate
the symptoms now. if you know someone who has satellite tv, you might check it
out there before getting it for yourself.

My wife has worst symptoms in our cabin in a small town because of the neighbors
satelite. We do not have cable nor satellite. But we still get fried by the
neighbors on weekends they are home and using it. Mike

My husband wanted to go from cable tv to satellite but my skin burns from ES so
from this post I assume that is not a good idea?! Loni

Thanks Andrew, I'll let you know if I try any of these. I don't believe I've
ever tried Phosphatidyl Choline.
