Karl,
Yesterday I saw my ent again. I asked him about kenelog injections in the nose and he said he would. Before he told me that it caused blindness and I assumed he wouldnt want to do it. Do you know what amount and the placement of the needle? My doc said in the turbinates. He said there is a very small likelyhood of blindness. I think I might try it. He said he uses it for some highly allergic patients who insist on it. So he has had some experience. I just want to check up on the dosage myself.
Also due to your info on converting asthma inhalers to nasal inhalers I asked him to let me try that. He gave me a sample of Qvar 40, an asthma inhaler with cortisone in it. To modify it, I took a sports water bottle, like the one pictured in the attachment and removed the blue top. I took off the white nozzle thing and removed a small piece of blue plastic which was partially covering the end where the water comes out. I simply took this top and put it over the outlet of the inhaler and it worked like a charm. I also will send the attachment showing the inhaler. I will try 2 inhallations daily and let you know if it helps. The inhaler instructions say to breath out completely, then breath in and hold the vapor in for 5-10 seconds, so I did that too. Thanks for the info leading to me trying this.
