Hi Mick
Hope your well just to let you know I went to the Royal Ear Nose and
Throat hospital in London last week and have got to go back to London
later this month for a FMRI Scan.
I was quite impressed with the hospital in the sense there was no
mucking around and had many tests done in a short space of time , and
was quickly seen.
Test included smell test, allergy test , blood test for Zinc, some
computer where I had to blow into , CT Scan.... all the test were
what I expected. I was seen by seen by a Professor Valerie Lund and
someone called Genis Scadding who is a doctor there.
The funny thing which I am kicking myself , they asked me loads of
question about my symptoms and I said to them I think it is Phantosmia
, but they didn't actually say what they through the problem was, I
guess they must of agreed with me.
Anyway they told me to use my sinus rinse twice a day , and have also
given me some drops called Flixonase. I have to have the MRI Scan ,
she said after the MRI Scan they may give me some epilepsy drugs to take.
One thing I did read someone where although it wasn't mentioned to me
was an ECG Scan, not sure if this would be relevant or not.
