Mondays appointment (after turning in the samples collected over the
weekend and another collection of saliva by Alex.
Had lengthy analysis discussion with Dr. H. He gave me some very
specific instructions on how to do the saline rinses and a
prescription for theo 24 (theopoline) a drug used for persons with
asthma, along with specifics of my affliction. Seems that I have a
compound problem and he did seem somewhat perplexed by it but went on
to say that he will treat one at a time and may get a positive
response to both. I apparently had very poor results with the tongue
taste but as mentioned before I had some response to smell and huge
response to bananas, almond extract, and most spicy foods, ie:
Mexican. I need to keep a taste/smell diary and contact him in two
weeks with a return visit in 4 months. I actually have just started
taking my tho today for the first time. I do hope that this therapy
will correct the problem and that all of you would be so fortunate to
have full insurance coverage as I had. When and if I have a
recognized change I will definitely respond to the group!!
