Not everyone who uses Zicam loses their taste and smell. My
88-year-old father also used it with no ill affects. However, there
are hundreds (if not thousands by now) who are suffering the
devastation of having lost their taste and smell from Zicam. Even so,
to this day, there are no warnings on their packaging and Matrixx (the
manufacturer) still claims there is no danger. That said, I have to
wonder why they paid a settlement to users of the Zicam spray who lost
their taste and smell.
